Won't You Come and Sing for Me? is a 1973 Folkways Records album (FTS 31034) by Hazel Dickens and Alice Gerrard, recorded in 1965 at Mastertone Studio in New York City and produced by Peter K. Siegel. The duo's second Folkways LP features Lamar Grier on banjo, David Grisman on mandolin, Billy Baker on fiddle, and Fred Weisz on bass — the same core ensemble that had appeared on their 1965 debut. Dickens and Gerrard draw on traditional Appalachian ballads, gospel songs, and original material, their high, unembellished harmonies rooted in the Virginia and West Virginia mountain culture that produced the music they sang. The album remains a landmark in the documentation of women's voices in bluegrass and old-time music during the folk revival era.
