I Wouldn't Miss It, released in 2005 on Rebel (REB-CD 1797), is a Melvin Goins gospel-summit project pulling together several first-generation bluegrass voices around the Goins Brothers veteran. Goins (guitar/vocals) leads his Windy Mountain band — Billy Rose on banjo, Joe Clark on mandolin, John Neely on guitar, Danny Cripple on bass, with a young Michael Cleveland on fiddle — through a thirteen-track all-gospel quartet record cut at River Track Studio in Fort Gay, West Virginia. Guest leads come from Larry Sparks, Dave Evans, Paul Williams, and John Rigsby. The session was conceived as a fellowship of older bluegrass-gospel voices and gave Goins one of his most consistent later-career releases, fifteen years after his Goins Brothers partnership with Ray Goins wound down.
