Leon Jackson
Leon Jackson was a bluegrass singer and songwriter best remembered for “Love Please Come Home,” the lonesome-love standard he first cut in 1957 with Johnny Bryant and the White Oak Mountain Boys. Reno & Smiley turned it into a touring favorite in 1972, and the song has since been covered by Del McCoury, the Country Gentlemen, Billy Strings, and a long line of younger bluegrass acts.
