Lily May Ledford
Lily May Ledford was an American old-time banjo player, fiddler, and singer.
- Born in 1917 in the Red River Gorge area of Kentucky.
- Was the leader of the Coon Creek Girls, one of the first all-woman string bands on radio.
- The group played at the White House in 1939.
- Was honored with a National Heritage Fellowship in 1985, the year she died.
