Albert Lee is an English country and rockabilly guitarist whose seat in Emmylou Harris's Hot Band, five-year run with Eric Clapton, and twenty-plus years as the Everly Brothers' musical director have placed him among the most-cited country guitarists of his generation — a Grammy winner and five-time Guitar Player magazine Best Country Guitarist.
- English country/rock guitarist born December 21, 1943 in Lingen, Herefordshire; raised in Blackheath, London.
- Replaced James Burton in Emmylou Harris's Hot Band in 1976.
- Worked with Eric Clapton's band 1978–1983, including the "Just One Night" live recording at Budokan.
- Musical director for The Everly Brothers from their 1983 reunion concert onward, performing with them for over 20 years.
- Won the Grammy Award for Best Country Instrumental Performance in 2002 for "Foggy Mountain Breakdown" (Earl Scruggs and Friends).
- Founding member of UK country-rock bands Country Fever and Heads Hands & Feet in the 1960s and 70s.
