Punch Brothers
The Punch Brothers are a contemporary American acoustic-string band led by mandolinist Chris Thile that has helped redefine the modern bluegrass and chamber-folk vocabulary. (The catalog row carries a typo — the band’s name is “Punch Brothers,” not “Brothets.”)
- Formed in 2006 by Chris Thile, Gabe Witcher, Noam Pikelny, Chris Eldridge, and Paul Kowert.
- Released their Nonesuch debut Punch in 2008.
- Won a Grammy for Best Folk Album in 2019 for All Ashore.
- Catalog credit reflects band-credited co-writes of original instrumental and vocal pieces.
