Banjo Player's Blues is a 2020 Rebel Records album (REB-CD-1874) by High Fidelity — Jeremy Stephens (guitar, vocals), Corrina Rose Logston Stephens (fiddle, vocals), Kurt Stephenson (banjo), Daniel Amick (mandolin), and Vickie Vaughn (bass). The title track is a Charlie Monroe song originally recorded with J.D. Crowe on banjo, a lineage the band honors with Stephenson's work at the fore. The album marks the first High Fidelity record on which both Vaughn and Amick sing lead, broadening the band's vocal palette, and features Grand Ole Opry member Jesse McReynolds of Jim & Jesse as a guest on "Tears of Regret." The record extends High Fidelity's program of rediscovering and revitalizing traditional-era bluegrass repertoire with period-authentic care.
