Bluegrass and White Snow: A Mountain Christmas is a 2002 holiday album by Patty Loveless released on Epic Records (EK 85967), produced by her husband Emory Gordy Jr. (bass, acoustic guitar). The album follows directly from her acclaimed Mountain Soul (2001) and deepens her engagement with Appalachian roots. Stuart Duncan provides fiddle throughout; Blake Williams contributes banjo; Carmella Ramsey adds fiddle and strings; the Nashville Mandolin Ensemble performs the instrumental "Carol of the Bells." "Joy to the World" features a duet with Jon Randall; "Little Drummer Boy" pairs Loveless with Rebecca Lynn Howard. The album reached number twenty on Billboard's Top Country Albums. Note: Marc Edelstein and Rex Gosdin appear in the catalog personnel; their specific instrumental roles could not be confirmed in available sources.
