Honeysuckle Rose is a 1980 film soundtrack album by Willie Nelson released on Columbia Records, accompanying Jerry Schatzberg's road movie about a country singer perpetually on tour. The double album mixes live recordings from a 1979 Austin, Texas concert with studio tracks, featuring Nelson (guitar, vocals) alongside the road band: Jody Payne (guitar), Bee Spears and Chris Ethridge (bass), Paul English (drums), Mickey Raphael (harmonica), and Bobbie Nelson (piano). "On the Road Again," written for the film, became Nelson's signature song—reaching number one on the country chart and winning the Grammy for Best Country Song. The set revisits "Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain" alongside "Working Man Blues" and roadhouse material, capturing Nelson at the commercial peak of his outlaw-country persona.
