Ramblin' Boy is a 1964 album released by Tom Paxton on Elektra Records (EKL-277), his debut recording. Produced by Paul Rothchild and recorded in New York City, the album features Paxton (guitar, vocals) with Barry Kornfeld (banjo, guitar, harmonica) and Felix Pappalardi (guitarrón). The program draws on the Greenwich Village folk revival that Paxton had helped shape as a regular at the Gaslight Café, mixing original compositions—including "The Last Thing on My Mind" and the title track—with traditional material. Cover design by Milton Glaser and production by Rothchild (who later produced The Doors and Janis Joplin) situate the album at the heart of the early 1960s folk revival. Pappalardi later co-founded the rock band Mountain.
