Special Delivery is a 2000 Rebel Records album (REB-CD-1756) by Larry Sparks & the Lonesome Ramblers. The working band lineup — Sparks on guitar and lead vocals, Scott Napier on mandolin and harmony vocals, Josh McMurray on banjo, and Virgil Bowlin on bass and harmony vocals — delivers the straight-ahead traditional bluegrass and tight three-part harmonies that have defined the ensemble since Sparks launched the Lonesome Ramblers after his time with Ralph Stanley's Clinch Mountain Boys. The album continues the pattern of Rebel recordings stretching back to the early 1970s, maintaining a sound closer to the Stanley Brothers and early Monroe than to the progressive developments that reshaped bluegrass around it.
