The Faster It Goes is a 2015 self-released album by The Railsplitters, a progressive bluegrass quintet from Boulder, Colorado. The group—Lauren Stovall (guitar, vocals), Dusty Rider (banjo, vocals), Pete Sharpe (mandolin, vocals), Leslie Ziegler (bass, vocals), and Christine King (fiddle, vocals)—formed in 2012 and won the RockyGrass Band Competition the following year, helping establish them on the festival circuit. Their second album, crowdfunded through Kickstarter, features original compositions delivered with five-part harmonies and an instrumental approach that blends traditional bluegrass technique with a contemporary compositional sensibility. Note: Christine King (fiddle) is confirmed on this recording but is absent from the catalog personnel.
