Aubrey Holt
Aubrey Holt is the lead vocalist, mandolinist, and primary songwriter of the Boys from Indiana, the family-led bluegrass band he formed in 1973 with his sons and brother. His “Touch of the Master’s Hand” and “Wedding Bells of Old Stinson” entered the standard touring-bluegrass repertoire.
- Formed the Boys from Indiana in 1973 with brother Harley Gabbard, sons Jerry and Tommy Holt, and others.
- Wrote “Atlanta Is Burning”, “The Touch of the Master’s Hand”, and “Wedding Bells of Old Stinson” for the band.
- The Boys from Indiana were Bluegrass Now magazine’s Bluegrass Band of the Year in 1976.
