Bob Amos
Bob Amos is a Vermont-based bluegrass and folk singer-songwriter who fronted the Colorado-bred touring band Front Range from 1984 to 2006 and whose songs — among them “Where the Wild River Rolls” — have been recorded by Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, the Lonesome River Band, and a string of touring bluegrass acts.
- Founded the Colorado-based touring bluegrass band Front Range in 1984; the group recorded for Sugar Hill Records before disbanding in 2002.
- Wrote “Where the Wild River Rolls” and many other touring-circuit standards.
- Releases solo and small-band albums of original Appalachian-leaning material from his current base in Vermont.
