Charlie Haden
Charlie Haden was an American jazz double bassist and bandleader.
- Born in 1937 in Shenandoah, Iowa, and raised performing on a family country-music radio show.
- Was a longtime member of the Ornette Coleman Quartet and founded the Liberation Music Orchestra and Quartet West.
- Recorded the bluegrass-and-country family album “Rambling Boy” in 2008.
- Was named an NEA Jazz Master. He died in 2014.
