Mary Catherine “Taffy” Nivert is an American folk-pop singer-songwriter who, with then-boyfriend Bill Danoff and John Denver, wrote “Take Me Home, Country Roads” — the 1971 Denver single that reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and became a touring-bluegrass and country standard. She and Danoff later co-founded the Starland Vocal Band.
