Adieu False Heart is a 2006 Vanguard Records album by Linda Ronstadt and Cajun musician, author, and multi-instrumentalist Ann Savoy, drawn from the traditional Cajun music and French Louisiana folk repertoire that Savoy has spent her career documenting and performing. The duo sing much of the program in French, drawing on Cajun waltzes, two-steps, and old-time Creole songs in arrangements rooted in the musical culture of southwestern Louisiana. One of Ronstadt's final studio albums before her Parkinson's diagnosis curtailed her performing career, the record preserves a dimension of her artistic range — her facility with non-English vocal tradition and her affinity for acoustic folk music outside the pop mainstream — that had emerged only in her most adventurous work.
