Ahoy! is a 2012 extended-play recording released by Punch Brothers on Nonesuch Records (10" vinyl, catalog 533294-1, released April 2013). The quintet—Chris Thile (mandolin, lead vocals), Chris Eldridge (guitar, vocals), Noam Pikelny (banjo, vocals), Gabe Witcher (fiddle, vocals), and Paul Kowert (bass, vocals)—recorded five tracks at Blackbird Studio, Nashville, during sessions for Who's Feeling Young Now?, produced by Jacquire King. The program includes Josh Ritter's "Another New World," Gillian Welch and David Rawlings's "Down Along the Dixie Line," and a traditional "Moonshiner" arrangement alongside two Punch Brothers originals, demonstrating the band's wide repertoire reach and the ensemble precision that had become their hallmark.
