Always Never Enough, released July 19, 2005 on Rebel (REB-CD 1811), is the Kenny and Amanda Smith Band's second Rebel album and the first with the band's settled lineup of Jason Robertson on mandolin, Steve Huber on banjo, and Alan Bartram on bass, plus Becky Buller as guest fiddler. Kenny Smith plays guitar and sings; Amanda Smith sings lead on seven cuts, Kenny on five, working a polished contemporary-bluegrass program that mixes new songs from Tim Stafford, Steve Gulley, and Becky Buller with classics by Carter Stanley, Webb Pierce, and Mel Tillis. The record cemented the band's post-IBMA-Emerging-Artist sound. The catalog date of 2007 reflects a data error rather than the actual release year.
