Carnival '99 is a 2000 live double-CD released by the String Cheese Incident on their own SCI Fidelity Records, compiled from multiple 1999 performances. The five-piece Colorado ensemble—Bill Nershi (guitar, vocals), Michael Kang (mandolin, violin), Kyle Hollingsworth (keyboards), Keith Moseley (bass), and Michael Travis (drums, percussion)—captures the band's improvisational range across bluegrass, electronic music, and jam-band styles. SCI had launched their own label to maintain control over an expansive live release program that would grow to dozens of archive titles. Note: the catalog personnel lists "Eddy Lovelace" and "Hunter Berry," neither of whom appears in any documentation of this album; the credited performers are the five core members above.
