Chapter 3 is a 2017 album by the duo of Doyle Lawson and Paul Williams released on Mountain Home Records (MH-16722), the pair's third collaborative album following Old Friends Get Together on the Mountain Home (2010) and Standing Tall and Tough (2014). Lawson (guitar, lead vocals) and Williams (mandolin, tenor vocals)—both veterans of Jimmy Martin's Sunny Mountain Boys in the late 1950s and early 1960s—deliver a set of close-harmony bluegrass that draws on the mid-century styles they helped shape. Recorded at Crossroads Studios in Arden, North Carolina, the session adds Joe Mullins (banjo), Stephen Burwell (fiddle), Josh Swift (resonator guitar, vocals), Tim Surrett (bass), and David Johnson (pedal steel). Note: the catalog lists Keith McKinnon in the personnel; McKinnon does not appear in the documented session credits.
