"Cherryholmes III: Don't Believe," released in September 2008 on Skaggs Family Records, is the third album by the all-family bluegrass ensemble featuring Jere, Sandy, Cia, Molly, Skip, and B.J. Cherryholmes, with multi-IBMA-award-winning dobro player Rob Ickes appearing as a featured guest. The album received a Grammy nomination for Best Bluegrass Album at the 51st Grammy Awards. Critics noted a more reflective, ballad-heavy tone compared to the hard-driving sound of the first two volumes, with some reviewers characterizing it as the ensemble's most emotionally diverse statement. It proved to be the Cherryholmes family's final full-scale studio album before they announced their dissolution in January 2011, making it an inadvertent valedictory to one of bluegrass's most distinctive family acts of the 2000s.
