Come See About Me (Mountain Home Music Company MH 17182) is a studio album from Sideline, the contemporary bluegrass supergroup assembled around banjoist Sammy Shelor, guitarist Brandon Rickman, mandolinist Jesse Smathers, and bassist Gil Landry. Shelor plays banjo; Rickman plays guitar and sings lead; Smathers plays mandolin and sings; and Landry holds the bass. The members draw from prominent working bands in contemporary bluegrass — Shelor from the Lonesome River Band, the others from their own performing careers — and their combination produces the high-energy drive and close vocal harmony that characterize Mountain Home's hard-bluegrass roster. The album presents tightly arranged traditional-style material at a tempo and ensemble precision that reflect four musicians for whom driving bluegrass is their native idiom.
