"Fiddler's Pastime," released in September 2020 on Keith-Hynes's own Sugar Petunia Records imprint, is the debut solo album by fiddle player Bronwyn Keith-Hynes. Produced by banjoist Wes Corbett, the record features an ensemble including Tim O'Brien (mandolin, vocals), Jake Stargel (guitar), Jeff Picker (bass), and James Kee alongside guests Sierra Hull, Sarah Jarosz, and Chris Eldridge — placing the debut squarely within progressive bluegrass and old-time circles. A mix of original fiddle tunes and traditional material, the album drew strong notices from the Bluegrass Situation and Folk Alley and established Keith-Hynes as a distinct compositional voice beyond her reputation as a sideperson in Nashville and touring ensembles.
