Five Interstates is a 2008 Big Blue Zoo Records album by Greensky Bluegrass, the Kalamazoo, Michigan–based progressive bluegrass band. Produced by Tim Carbone of Railroad Earth, it was the band's third studio release and the first to feature dobro player Anders Beck, completing the classic Greensky lineup: Paul Hoffman (mandolin), Dave Bruzza (guitar), Michael Devol (bass), Michael Arlen Bont (banjo), and Beck. Beck's arrival gave the group its full sonic palette, enabling the ensemble to develop the psychedelic bluegrass sound that would define their decade-long rise in the jam-band world. Note: catalog personnel lists Billy Hawks and Tim Lewis, who are not confirmed members of Greensky Bluegrass — the correct lineup is as stated above.
