Folk Singer, Vol. 2 is a 2017 album released by Willie Watson on Acony Records (ACNY-1714), the follow-up to his solo debut. Watson (guitar, banjo, vocals) again turns to traditional American folk material, produced by David Rawlings on analog tape at Woodland Sound Studios in Nashville. The album expands on the first volume with guest appearances from the Fairfield Four—Nashville's renowned a cappella gospel ensemble—and Paul Kowert (Punch Brothers) contributing bass on select tracks, deepening the archival character of the series while introducing additional vocal and textural colors. Note: the catalog lists "Paul Knight" as personnel; the correct bass player on this recording is Paul Kowert.
