I'll Meet You in the Morning, released October 30, 2011 on Rebel Records (REB-CD-1664), is a vault recording by Appalachian Express, a Northern Virginia bluegrass band led in the late 1980s by lead singer Cindy West. The tracks were cut December 5, 1987 at Bias Recording in Springfield, Virginia, with Clyde Bailey (vocals/guitar/banjo), Vernon Hughes (mandolin), Earl West (bass), Bobby Thompson (guitar), and Jim Skelding (fiddle) backing West on a program of bluegrass gospel and traditional songs. The session sat unreleased for nearly twenty-four years before Rebel issued it in 2011, a vault rescue of a regionally beloved DC-area gospel group whose work would otherwise have stayed in a closet. West's lead singing is the record's anchor.
