In the Light is a 2006 debut album released by Tyler Grant on FGM Records (FGM 120), the recording arm of Flatpicking Guitar Magazine. Grant (guitar, vocals) leads a session drawing on top-tier acoustic collaborators: Pat Enright (Nashville Bluegrass Band, tenor vocals), Chris Henry (mandolin), Casey Driessen (fiddle), Andy Hall (dobro, Infamous Stringdusters), Amanda Kowalski (bass), and Chris Pandolfi (banjo, Infamous Stringdusters). Grant wrote or co-wrote the majority of the album's thirteen tracks, blending vocal bluegrass with flatpicking instrumentals in a program that announced a commanding new voice on the acoustic scene and demonstrated the rich ensemble talent orbiting the emerging Stringdusters network.
