Instant Lonesome and the Twinkle Brigade is a 2024 album by veteran old-time musician and songwriter Jody Stecher released on Don Giovanni Records (CDDG304). Stecher (guitar, mandolin, vocals)—whose career stretches back to the 1960s California folk revival and who has recorded with David Grisman and Peter Rowan—wrote nine of the album's fourteen songs, ranging across false-hearted love, rural lawlessness, and political observation. He is backed by the Boston bluegrass quintet Mile Twelve: Ella Jordan (fiddle, vocals), Korey Brodsky (mandolin, guitar), Evan Murphy (guitar, vocals), BB Bowness (banjo), and Nate Sabat (bass), with Rich O'Brien and Kristian Herner contributing in roles not confirmed in available sources. It is the second collaboration between Stecher and Mile Twelve on Don Giovanni.
