Lessons Learned cover

Ronnie Reno & The Reno Tradition's Lessons Learned, released on Rural Rhythm Records (RUR-1130) in 2015, marks sixty years of the Reno name in bluegrass—Ronnie being the son of Don Reno, of the landmark partnership Reno & Smiley. Ronnie Reno plays guitar, mandolin, and sings lead; Heath Van Winkle, upright bass and tenor vocals; John Maberry, mandolin and guitar; Mike Scott, banjo; Steve Day, fiddle; with Sonya Isaacs of The Isaacs contributing featured harmony vocals throughout. The "Reno Tradition" name signals Ronnie's deliberate mission to carry his father's legacy of clean technique and exuberant ensemble playing forward through the present generation of bluegrass listeners and musicians.
