Looking for a New Way to Go is a 1985 LP on Old Homestead Records (OHS 90127) by Mike Lilly and the Country Grass. Lilly, a banjo player born in Harlan, Kentucky, in 1950, played with Larry Sparks from 1969 to 1973 and then formed the Country Grass with mandolinist Wendy Miller; the band recorded for Old Homestead through the 1970s and released The House on the Hill there in 1980.
On this album Discogs credits Lilly with banjo, mandolin, dobro and lead vocals, Sherril Jennings with lead vocals and rhythm guitar, and Glen Inman with bass. John W. Morris is credited as engineer and Marian Kniess with the liner notes. The eleven tracks include “Columbus Stockade Blues,” “Rose of San Antone,” “Just When I Needed You” and “I’m Lost I’ll Never Find the Way.”
Old Homestead was a Michigan label, founded in 1971, that specialized in traditional country and bluegrass artists.
