More Bluegrass! cover

More Bluegrass! (Starday Records SLP 222) is a studio album from Ezra Cline and the Lonesome Pine Fiddlers, the Virginia and West Virginia string band that was one of the most active traditional bluegrass acts of the 1950s and early 1960s, featuring multiple members of the Cline family alongside the Goins brothers. Ezra Cline plays guitar and sings; Ray "Curly Ray" Cline plays fiddle and sings; Ray Goins plays guitar and sings; and Melvin Goins plays bass and sings. The Lonesome Pine Fiddlers occupied the same Southwestern Virginia mountain culture that produced the Stanley Brothers and represented a similar commitment to the hard-edge, old-timey end of the bluegrass spectrum — a sound shaped by the same communities, churches, and radio barn dances that gave the Stanley tradition its distinctive Appalachian character.
