Not for Kids Only is a 1993 Acoustic Disc album (ACD 9) by Jerry Garcia and David Grisman, released on 20 October 1993 after sessions in mid-1993 and produced by Grisman. Garcia plays guitar and sings, and Grisman plays mandolin, mandocello and tenor banjo and sings. It followed their 1991 album Jerry Garcia / David Grisman.

The twelve tracks are folk songs and children’s songs, among them “Freight Train,” credited to Elizabeth Cotten, “There Ain’t No Bugs on Me,” “Hot Corn, Cold Corn,” “Arkansas Traveller,” “Teddy Bears’ Picnic” and “Oh Shenandoah,” the last paired with Brahms’s lullaby. Many tracks add guests: Hal Blaine on percussion, Joe Craven on fiddle and percussion, Matt Eakle on piccolo and penny whistle, Larry Hanks on jew’s harp, and Jody Stecher, who sings tenor on “Three Men Went A-Hunting,” harmony on “Hot Corn, Cold Corn” and plays fiddle on “The Miller’s Will.” “Teddy Bears’ Picnic” has clarinet, trombone, trumpet and bass, and the 7:52 closer, “A Shenandoah Lullaby,” adds violins, viola, cello and English horn.
