Yoseff Tucker & The Bow Ties' Old Morphine, self-released in 2017 and produced by Sally Van Meter, presents the San Francisco-based traditional bluegrass band in a program of original compositions and traditional repertoire. Tucker plays guitar and sings lead; Zach Sharpe, upright bass; Billy Moore, banjo. Note: catalog personnel also lists Jack Kinney and Caleb Roberts—neither has been confirmed as a credited performer on this recording, and the credits may reflect roster variations between sessions. The following year the band won the RockyGrass Festival band competition, establishing them as one of the West Coast's most committed hard-core traditional bluegrass acts and opening the door to wider national distribution through the acoustic music festival circuit.
