Pick is a 2012 SCI Fidelity Records album (CD 1153) documenting the debut studio collaboration between singer-guitarist Keller Williams and the Travelin' McCourys — Ronnie McCoury (mandolin), Rob McCoury (banjo), Jason Carter (fiddle), and Alan Bartram (bass). Recorded in approximately four days at The Butcher Shop studio in Nashville, the album blends Williams's folk, funk, and jam-band sensibility with the Travelin' McCourys' traditional bluegrass precision in a pairing that had already been road-tested through live performance before the studio dates. The collaboration places Williams's original material and improvisational instincts alongside one of bluegrass's most accomplished working bands, producing an album that satisfied Williams's existing jam audience and the bluegrass community in equal measure.
