Rising Fawn Gathering is a studio album from Norman Blake and Nancy Blake, the married duo whose extended musical partnership produced one of the most sustained bodies of work in American acoustic folk and old-time music, recorded in the spirit of the gathering-place sessions that both performers favor over formal studio production. Norman Blake plays guitar, mandolin, fiddle, and sings; Nancy Blake plays cello and sings.
