The Railsplitters cover

The Railsplitters' self-titled debut, released in 2013, introduced a Colorado-based string band whose music drew as much from the old-time tradition as from bluegrass proper, reflecting the eclectic mountain-music culture of the Rocky Mountain region. The quartet brought together twin fiddles, banjo, guitar, and bass in configurations that nodded toward the Southeast string band tradition while incorporating the western sensibility of a region far removed from the genre's Appalachian origins. The Railsplitters had built their reputation on the festival circuit through relentless touring, and their debut captured the energy of a live band accustomed to communicating directly with audiences in outdoor settings.
