This Side of Jordan is a 2013 album released by Mandolin Orange on Yep Roc Records (YEP-2338), the duo's third studio release and their debut on the label. Andrew Marlin (mandolin, guitar, banjo, vocals) and Emily Frantz (fiddle, guitar, vocals) are joined by Jeff Crawford (upright bass), who also co-produced and engineered the sessions at Fidelitorium Recordings in Kernersville, North Carolina—Mitch Easter's storied studio. Contributions from Ryan Gustafson (electric and slide guitar), Nathan Golub (pedal steel), and James Wallace (drums) extend the sonic palette beyond the duo's acoustic core. The album introduced Mandolin Orange to a national audience and established the template for their subsequent Yep Roc releases.
