While the Ages Roll On is a 2000 gospel album released by Ralph Stanley on Rebel Records (REB-CD-1765), recorded at Maggard Sound Studio in Big Stone Gap, Virginia. Stanley (banjo, lead vocals) leads a program featuring Jack Cooke (bass, vocals), John Rigsby (mandolin, vocals), James Alan Shelton (guitar), Ralph Stanley II (guitar, vocals), Steve Sparkman (banjo, on six tracks), and James Price (fiddle), with veteran guitarist and bass singer George Shuffler guesting on two tracks. Eleven of the twelve songs were new to Stanley's repertoire and three are performed a cappella, placing the album among his most deliberately devotional studio statements.
