Window of Time is a 2002 album by the Lonesome River Band on Doobie Shea Records (DS-CD 4006), recorded at Doobie Shea Studios in Boones Mill, Virginia. Tim Austin, an original member of the band, left in 1995 to focus on Doobie Shea Records. The players on the record are Brandon Rickman on guitar, Jeff Parker on mandolin, Sammy Shelor on banjo, Mike Hartgrove on fiddle and Irl Hees on bass.

Of the thirteen tracks, Rickman sings lead on seven, Parker on three, “How I Long to Be in the Mountains,” “Rounder’s Spirit” and “My Heart Belongs to You,” and the two share the lead on two more. Hees wrote “How I Long to Be in the Mountains,” and Rickman wrote “Rounder’s Spirit.” The program also includes Harley Allen’s “Stray Dogs and Alley Cats,” the Delmore Brothers’ “Honey I’m Ramblin’ Away,” a traditional “Don’t Go Out Tonight My Darlin’,” and, as the closing track, the instrumental “Tomahawk,” credited to Tommy Jackson.
