Y’all Come cover

Y'all Come (RCA Victor LPM-2706, 1963) captures Porter Wagoner near the height of his early popularity — his syndicated television show had just launched in over one hundred markets. Produced by Chet Atkins, the album reflects the warm Nashville Sound production Atkins was refining at RCA: full-band arrangements that softened the honky-tonk edges without abandoning them. The title track was among Wagoner's signature songs; other highlights include "Crying My Heart Out Over You" and "Don't Let Me Cross Over." Wagoner's plainspoken baritone and the Wagonmasters' tight backing make the album a strong document of early-1960s commercial country from an artist whose television reach was bringing the repertoire to millions of weekly viewers across the South and Midwest.
