Caleb Klauder
Caleb Klauder is a Pacific Northwest mandolinist and singer who co-founded Foghorn Stringband in 2000, leads the Caleb Klauder Country Band, and tours as a duo with partner Reeb Willms — widely described as the "first couple" of Pacific Northwest old-time and traditional country.
- Born 1971; raised between Orcas Island, Washington and Little Cumberland, Georgia.
- Co-founded Foghorn Stringband at the National Oldtime Fiddlers' Contest in Weiser, Idaho in 2000 with Sammy Lind, P.T. Grover Jr., and Brian Bagdonas.
- Plays mandolin and sings; also plays fiddle and guitar.
- Mandolin style draws heavily on fiddle and banjo phrasing — known for head-to-head melody work with fiddler Sammy Lind.
- Foghorn Stringband, based in Portland, Oregon, is regarded as one of the leading West Coast old-time string bands.
- Also leads the Caleb Klauder Country Band, anchored in Pacific Northwest honky-tonk and traditional country.
