Dangerous Mes and Poisonous Yous, released in 2006 on Caleb Klauder's own imprint, is the honky-tonk and classic-country side of the same Portland old-time revival Klauder was anchoring with Foghorn Stringband. Tracked live-to-tape between March 2005 and November 2006, the record sets Klauder (guitar/mandolin/vocals/producer) against fellow Foghorn members Sammy Lind on fiddle and guitar and Kevin Sandri on bass, with Paul Brainard on Dobro, electric, and steel; Betse Ellis of The Wilders on fiddle and vocals; Ned Folkerth on drums; Jesse Emerson on bass; and Lewi Longmire and Ralph Huntley on piano. It was Klauder's first self-produced record, made while he was simultaneously fronting Foghorn at the center of Portland's stringband scene.
