Loretta Lynn was an American country singer and songwriter, one of the genre's most celebrated figures.
- Born Loretta Webb in 1932 in Butcher Hollow, Kentucky.
- Had a long string of country hits, including “Coal Miner's Daughter,” which inspired a hit film.
- Was a longtime member of the Grand Ole Opry and a duet partner of the singer Conway Twitty.
- Won three Grammy Awards and received the Presidential Medal of Freedom. She died in 2022.
