“Sledd Ridin’” is a banjo instrumental credited to Bobby Osborne and Dale Sledd of the Osborne Brothers band. The Osborne Brothers recorded it in the early 1970s.
A fast, hard-driving banjo showpiece, the tune became a favorite among Scruggs-style players. It has been recorded by a string of leading banjoists, who use it to display speed and clean, rolling tone.
The tune is a standard banjo feature. The version heard here is by J.D. Crowe and the New South.
