Connie Gately
Connie Gately was an American bluegrass guitarist, mandolinist, and singer.
- Co-founded the band Connie and Babe with the singer Babe Lofton in the early 1950s in Tennessee.
- Wrote songs including “Home Is Where the Heart Is,” later recorded by Jerry Garcia and David Grisman.
- Briefly played with Bill Monroe's Blue Grass Boys. He died in 2012.
