John Doyle
John Doyle is a Dublin-born guitarist and singer regarded as one of the defining accompanists in contemporary Irish traditional music. A founding member of the band Solas, he has since become a sought-after guitarist and music director for artists including Joan Baez and Mary Chapin Carpenter.
- Born in 1971 in Dublin, Ireland, son of singer and song collector Sean Doyle.
- Immigrated to the US in 1991 and co-founded Solas in 1994 with Seamus Egan and Karan Casey.
