Norman Edmonds
Norman Edmonds was an old-time southwest Virginia fiddler credited with the standard fiddle tune “Train on the Island,” widely cut by old-time and early-bluegrass acts. The tune has remained a fixture of festival fiddle repertoires and has been recorded by Tommy Jarrell, the New Lost City Ramblers, the Highwoods String Band, and many others.
