Baucom, Bibey, Graham and Haley (Rebel REB-CD 1743, 1998) is a co-billed project from four respected bluegrass instrumentalists and vocalists, each bringing a distinct skill set to a session designed as an equal partnership rather than a solo vehicle. Terry Baucom on banjo and bass vocals, Alan Bibey on mandolin and harmony, Randy Graham on bass and high-lead vocals, and Jimmy Haley on guitar and lead vocals form a well-matched ensemble that foregrounds vocal interplay alongside individual instrumental virtuosity. Wanda Vick contributes dobro on select tracks. Originally recorded as Ready for the Times on Cross Current Records, the project was reissued with additional material on Rebel. The album is a characteristic product of the experienced bluegrass sideman community — accomplished players drawn together by mutual respect and a shared commitment to the traditional-acoustic format, with no single frontperson requiring deference from the others.
