The Crowe Brothers' Brothers-N-Harmony, released on Rural Rhythm Records (RHY-CD 1041) in September 2008, is the Georgia duo's breakthrough studio album. Josh Crowe plays guitar and sings lead; Wayne Crowe, upright bass and harmony vocals; Steve Sutton, banjo; Steve Thomas, fiddle, mandolin, and co-producer; Randy Kohrs, dobro. Guests include Ronnie McCoury on mandolin and H.S. "Buck" White—patriarch of The Whites—on piano. The single "Cindy Mae" reached number one on the bluegrass charts in 2009, establishing the brothers as a national act on Rural Rhythm. White's piano guest appearance reflects the warm, session-informed character of a record built around two brothers rooted in the Raymond Fairchild tradition of hard-driving mountain music.
